Sales Executive / Business Development – Ocean and Air Freight

Sales/Business Development Executive. This fantastic opportunity has been created due to our continuous investment in business expansion, staff development and technologies.

Responsibilities:
• Developing and securing new import sea and air business, particularly on our core trade lanes
• Providing clients with competitive proposals and following up quotations
• Replying to tenders and securing volume movers accounts
• Consultative selling / Providing value added services to clients
• Generating and following up sales leads
• Visiting prospective and existing clients
• Working closely with Operations to ensure a smooth transaction for each customer
• Liaising with Sales Team as well as Marketing team to send out promotional mailings
Experience and Qualities Required:
• Proven freight forwarding sales experience is essential
• Excellent industry knowledge with the ability to sell import ocean and air services
• Proven track record of targeting, pursuing and winning opportunities, through both personal and collaborative selling efforts
• Self‐starter, target and performance driven
• Ability to build strong, lasting relationships with clients

This role can be central London or Suffolk based with the working hours of 8:30 – 5pm in either location.
